Mr. S.Devaraj,
Executive Chairman

Mr. S.Devaraj, the Promoter of Grama Vidiyal Microfinance Limited (GVMFL), is now the Executive Chairman of the company which was acquired by IDFC Bank on the 12th of July 2016. His experience in inclusive social development especially through financial inclusion and poverty alleviation programs spans over 33 years. He is one of the pioneers of the Grameen model of microfinance in South India. He had also founded many other entities viz. Swarnodhayam Credits Pvt. Ltd, Grama Vidiyal Enterprises Limited and Vidiyal Matriculation School, a school dedicated to the under privileged poor children of rural Tamil Nadu. He also founded many networks of voluntary organization in South India viz. INDNET, MICNET etc. which are the forerunners to the present SROs for the microfinance sector. Mr. S. Devaraj, is a Post Graduate (MA) and had also received Diploma in Social Development (DSD) with a specialization in credit, savings and rural cooperatives from Coady International Institute (Canada) in 1985. In 1986, he was awarded a UNDP fellowship and travelled extensively across India, visiting and studying the business models of various voluntary organizations. He has also attended number of National and International workshops and presented papers and contributed to the growth and stabilization of the financial inclusion and poverty alleviation programs in India.

Mr. Arjun Muralidharan,
Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

Arjun Muralidharan has vast experience in microfinance and has been involved in the sector for over 12 years. As the CEO of GVMFL, he has been instrumental in carrying out the transformation of the company into a NBFC-MFI, raising institutional equity, transforming operations and spearheading the growth of the company thereby creating a network of over a million clients across 7 states and 320 branches. Post the IDFC Bank acquisition, he has taken on the role of Managing Director and CEO of GVMFL from October 2016. Prior to joining GV, he was working for GE Capital in Business analytics. Arjun holds a B.Tech degree from IIT Madras and a Masters degree from University of California, Berkeley.

Mr. A. Krishnamoorthy,
Independent Director

Mr. A. Krishnamoorthy has four decades of banking experience where he has held several territorial and functional jurisdictions as Senior Executive in Andhra Bank (Govt. of India undertaking) heading operational units at Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai and as General Manager in-charge of Human Resources Development, Credit and Priority sector advances. He held the post as Concurrent Chairman of Banking Services Recruitment Board of Andhra Pradesh appointed by Govt. of India. He was appointed by RBI as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lakshmi Vilas Bank Ltd. till April 2005. He has been a member of various Advisory Committees of Indian Banks Association, Reserve Bank of India, Banks and several development institutions of Central and State Governments and as Convener State Level Bankers Committee, Andhra Pradesh. He has introduced credit card as a payment system and steering the activities of Self-Help Groups through Micro Finance. He was member of the High Powered Committee set up by Govt. of India on Regulatory Frame work for Micro Financial Institutions. (MFIs). He is an M.A (Public Administration) and M.B.A with specialization in Financial and Personnel Management and CAIIB & is serving on the Boards of several companies as non-executive, non-whole time and Independent Director. He holds positions like Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Audit committee and also as Advisor /Consultant in several companies.

Mr. Ravi Shankar
Nominee Director for IDFC Bank Ltd

Ravi Shankar is the Head of Bharat Banking for IDFC Bank Limited. He has over 25 years of experience across sectors including retail finance, business consulting, advertising, automotive, aviation etc. Prior to joining IDFC, Ravi was Head of Business & Marketing at Fullerton India Credit Co. Ltd. In this role, he was responsible for both urban and rural businesses along with Marketing, Corporate Communications and CSR. At Fullerton India, he helped build a profitable and robust rural finance network of over 200 branches across India, called "Gramshakti". He was also responsible for conceptualizing and implementing the marketing and communication initiatives for the company. Prior to Fullerton, he worked with TNS India Pvt. Ltd. as Senior Vice President & Head - Stakeholder Management Research and Strategic Consulting for clients across B2B, automotive, finance & technology sectors. Prior to joining TNS India, Ravi worked with organizations like Publicis India Communications Pvt. Ltd., ModiLuft Ltd., Maadhyam Advertising Pvt. Ltd. and the Eicher Group. He began his corporate career with Living Media India Ltd. Ravi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & a Post Graduate Diploma in Management.
